Mastercrafts - Roof Thatchers

If anyone has any thatchers in their family, there is a programme on Friday 19th February about thatching. It is part of Monty Don's "Mastercrafts" series on BBC2. It starts at 9.00pm (9.30pm in Wales).

The first programme in the series, about green wood craft, is currently available on iPlayer.

One of the other programmes will be about stone masonry.

The prorammes may help give an insight into our ancestors' working lives.

I do not know what the other three programmes will be about, but I heard an interview with Monty Don on the radio this afternoon and the series sounded interesting, so I thought I'd post it on here in case other people had also not heard about this series before.

Thank Five Live Radio - I wouldn't have heard of the programme if it wasn't for them. They don't just do sport.....

I am interested in the stonemason programme as there were a few stonemasons in my family. One also did all the family funerals. That must have been fun for him!
