Hampton Court Palace - Census Records

Postby Dinky1 » Mon Mar 08, 2010 6:56 pm

Does anybody know if the census records for any of the royal palaces - specifically Hampton Court Palace - are available to search on line?

I have an ancestor who was in service with a Mrs Louise Creighton who resided at Hampton Court Palace in a grace and favour appartment between 1901 and 1927.

As yet I am unable to find Louise Creighton on the 1911 census and wondered if anybody had any ideas of where else I can search?

Thanks !!

Hi
What a shame you didn't put a name to your ancestor,it would have made the search easier.
As previously stated by pre 1837, Lucia's name appears with the following:
Louie Hendon, Elizabeth and Lucy Louisa Riley in the 1911 census.
The 1901 census shows many more servants at Fulham Palace:
Kate Hardman, Florence Raspberry, Caroline Johnson, Daisy Byres.
Lucia, Beatrice, Mary and Gemma as daughters of Louise Creighton.

Thank you callbrian

That is brilliant!

The ancestor I am actually looking for is Louise Henton. I guess this could have been marked down as Louie Hendon so this gives me something to work from.

Thanks again for your help
